Sorry this has taken so long but we went away straight after our boat trip. Just wanted to say thank you for a great trip around the harbour (25 Aug). My mother really enjoyed it. I really must write to say a huge thank you for the lovely day we all had on Sunday. It was obvious to all that Anne was over the moon with the experience of piloting your Fairline – thank you for making it all possible.

I feel a bit of a cheat because I did so little to organize the celebration of Anne’s 60th. I just made the initial call to you and then sat back while you arranged the whole package.

Everything was great – your cooperation and flexibility: the flowers were perfection – please convey our thanks to the florist: the buffet was excellent – please thank your caterer too.

The whole trip felt more like an outing in a family friend’s boat – it was brilliant and we can’t thank you and Robert for making the day so enjoyable, anywhere near enough .....................................................

Thank you both so much for a fantastic day out on Saturday for Laurence's birthday and for all your effort on our behalf at such short notice.

It far exceeded our expectations and everyone (young and older!) enjoyed themselves immensely.

We loved everything - the boat, the beautiful surroundings, the glorious weather, the feeling of absolute freedom and relaxation as we cruised in Chichester Harbour and beyond and the thrill of seeing the Round the White Race. But what made the day, above everything else, was your hospitality. You provided such good company and personal service and made us so welcome that we felt as if we were with old friends.

Needless to say, Laurence thoroughly appreciated the opportunity to ' take the helm' and we had so much fresh air that we all slept like logs when we got home.

Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy a unique experience which we could never have gained ourselves and which we will never forget!

"I am planning to buy my first boat soon but with no sailing experience I
was worried about navigation in and out of harbours. The trip on Lismore
Castle between Chichester and Portsmouth, demonstrating the use of charts,
GPS and identifying the different types of marker buoys put my mind at ease.
It was also a very enjoyable way to spend four hours on a sunny (mostly)
Sunday afternoon!"

It was a bonus to be able to see where our location was on the computer as we were going along and to be able to consult the chart of Chichester Harbour and surrounding locations.

Journey was carefully pre-planned taking into account weather conditions and tide tables.

A most enlightening commentary during our charter voyage from Chichester Marina through Itchenor Reach to Bembridge and return.

We highly recommend Fairway Marine Services Ltd for family and personal celebratory events and commemorative occasions.

We certainly look forward to chartering Lismore Castle again.

Just a quick thank you for the trip last week. I enjoyed it so much - it was great to be out on the bumpy stuff again.

It did my confidence a lot of good, as my instincts regarding the sea state seemed to agree with yours! It was also good to get to grips with a twin engined boat. Your encouragement meant a lot and has given me a firmer resolve to swap to a larger boat in the future.

My next move will probably be a coastal skipper's course and I may well ask you to take me out again to do some preparatory work ready for the course.
